Methodology:
The point totals are based upon the average win total of teams from a program that qualified for the Championship Tournament over a three year period.  For example, if the top team from Program X had 6 wins, 5 wins, and 7 wins at the Championship Tournament, the average win total would be 6.00.  If the second team from X had win totals of 3, 3, 4, the average wins would be 3.34.  If X qualified a third team in each year, and it had win totals of 6, 0, 0 , its average would be 2.00.  To get the total listed in the rankings, we would add up the average win totals from the three teams:  6.00 + 3.34 + 2.00 = 11.34.  This methodology recognizes the quantity of the number of teams that a school qualifies for the Championship Tournament as well as how well they fare at that tournament.  The win totals in this ranking are from the 2015, 2016, and 2017 Championship Tournaments.  The number of teams competing at the national qualifying tournaments averaged over 350 for the three seasons.
